I recently took the plunge and ordered orthotic inserts for the first time in my life. I was initially somewhat skeptical about the need for, or usefulness of, orthotics for someone like myself who had never needed them before.

But I felt a difference almost immediately. Perhaps it was just the beautiful weather, or Dr. P's excellent chiropractic skills -- her legerdemain extraordinaire -- but the next day, as I in-line skated on the Monon, I believe it was the new orthotics that made me feel like a breeze riding the wind.

The thing is, for the first time in far too long, I felt like there was no longer an ache in this hip, or that knee, or that ankle, or somewhere in my spine. I felt straight and true and light on my feet and I sailed at top speeds for 8 or 10 miles, and it felt great. Since that first experience, my overall joint and spine comfort level has been much higher than at times in the past. I have to admit, I'm now a believer in custom orthotics. Thanks!
