Rachelle received her Hatha Yoga Teacher certification through CITYOGA's nationally recognized 200-hour program.  Her teaching style has been strongly influenced by repeated study of the American yoga greats: Eric Schifman, Gary Kraftsow and others.  She is also a massage therapist. This gives her a greater understanding of the muscular system and the elements of stress management ~ a big plus for her students.
 
"I love yoga for the way it has opened my heart, body and mind.  My classes’ help students gain a sense of kindness towards their own bodies and an ability to open to their own unique possibilities.
 
My teaching technique is founded on traditional yoga, which emphasizes pranayama (breath work), asanas (postures) and meditation skills.  I attempt to individualize teachings for each unique body and personality.  Yoga changes the body and promotes health by teaching students to connect with their breath as the source of movement."
